BEKO, a leading brand in home appliances and smart home solutions, present in more than 140 countries, has just reinforced its presence in the national market with the inauguration of an emblematic 300-square-meter showroom in the Fortaleza shopping mall in Luanda.
The opening took place this Tuesday (13), and brought together journalists, brand representatives, partners and public figures. With this showroom which includes some of its latest technological innovations, BEKO now has a structure and team capable of responding more comprehensively to local challenges and needs, creating the conditions to consolidate its presence in the national market. An investment that allowed the creation of 15 direct jobs.
“This expansion is part of the brand's growth strategy and will allow us to expand our product distribution capacity nationwide, as well as increase the number of retail outlets that offer BEKO products to various Angolan consumers,” said Ramzi El Houchaimi, general manager of the IMEX Group, BEKO's representative in Angola.
Ian Langlands, BEKO's regional director of sub-Saharan export sales, highlighted that "this step underscores the brand's internationalization strategy, which aims to empower future generations to live healthier lives through innovative technologies and sustainable solutions that address real-world problems."
Beko, which began distributing household appliances in Angola in March 2019 with an estimated investment of US$1,000,000, now has a total of 15 stores in the country and plans to open seven new ones, including this showroom, the first of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa. By the end of this year, with a total investment of US$4,500,000, the brand guarantees it will open its first household appliance factory in Angola.
The BEKO showroom is located on the 2nd floor of Shopping Fortaleza and is open to the public every day of the week, from 8 am to 8 pm.
